I wish people realized that the people in their 20s currently speaking out against hypersexual internet culture aren't doing it because we're killjoys but because we were the first generation of people who grew up fully online and we can see the damage its done to us. If you can't tell the difference between us and your puritanical conservative uncle then that's on you!
and so much of that damage was done not by even partaking directly in that culture but by being desensitized to it through exposure and subsequently losing our concept of healthy expectations and boundaries, and being groomed by people we thought were our friends. we have normalized receiving unwanted sexual advances and comments/opinions and you get called a prude for telling someone not to be inappropriate with you.
did they ever track down the baby born at dashcon?

What
the dashcon baby
at dashcon, a late term pregnant lady (there for a writing panel i believe) arrived, and while going around the “event”, her water broke around 2 months earlier than expected, and began to go into labour, there was a huge traffic jam because of, you know, and driving to the hospital was out of the question, so they called an ambulance. But the thing is, because of the traffic jam, it took over 40 minutes, and she was going into labour NOW. A nurse in training there took over and had to deal with the woman, so they took the ballpit, being the best thing they could think of in the mostly empty area, cleared some of the balls away, and had to use that as a surface to deliver the baby. Around 5 minutes before they got there, they managed to deliver the baby, (thankfully) in a safe state.
I helped!
I was the one who wrote that story, ama open

*gets dressed up to spend time in the woods alone*
once at dawn i dressed up in my regency suit and went for a walk in the woods where i heard someone go “oh” (a little like a moan) and i got terrified i’d interrupted someone dogging or something so i immediately tried to walk away before i saw the person in question, who was just walking their dog (dogging in a sense!) and i got even more scared because they were wearing black skinny jeans and a black hoodie so they looked like they had very long slender arms and legs, and both of us were really shaken so i quickly tried to get out of sight. anyway i forgot i was wearing full 1810s regencywear complete with hat and probably looked significantly more like a ghost than they did. remember you’re never alone in the woods
imagine walking your dog in the woods and seeing an obvious Regency-era ghost notice you and bolt out of sight, visibly shaken

Air rights in America are 500ft above the tallest building in urban areas. Below that is considered the property of the owner. The police are effectively on their property without a warrant. Shoot them down and file a lawsuit immediately
If something feels wrong, like you’re unsafe or uncomfortable, you’re probably right. Those people are visibly freaked out and violated they seem confused and like hey are being watched. Which they are. That is a breech of privacy. That is illegal and that is not okay and if you feel like something is wrong it probably means it is. Keep throwing those bottles boys fight for your rights
You are angry about something. “Clam down,” I text you. You assume I have made a typo, but in fact I am holding a small soldier clam in my hands. He died so young. War is hell
This is a map of the range of all giraffe species. By my count that puts them in just 16 countries out of the 54 in Africa (of which 5 are island countries with no territory on the continental mainland). That's 30%, quite a long way shy of all, and as you can see many of those countries that do have giraffes only have a tiny portion of their territory within giraffes' habitats
Wow, I knew they weren't in "every African country", but I didn't realize just how restricted their range was
Good teachers don't mind saying "I don't know" or that they need to look it up and will get back to you.
